Housing information for ORAHS attendees

ORAHS has reserved room blocks at the Intercontinental Hotel Toronto and St. Michael’s College Residence for the attendees of the conference. Details of these arrangements are provided below.

Guests who want to make other arrangements can visit the following sites for further information on accommodation around the conference venue. Please note that the conference locations are in "Downtown Toronto".

ORAHS 2008 special offerings

Intercontinental Hotel Toronto, Yorkville

Number and types of rooms: 5 rooms with one king size bed, 5 rooms with two queen size beds

Rate: CAD 199.00+tax per room per night

Block Dates: Sunday July 27th check-in, Friday August 1st check-out with an option to extend the stay dates upon booking with the hotel

Offer Expiry: Wednesday, June 27, 2008

Booking Information: Participants are asked to book their rooms through Intercontinental directly at +1(416)960-5200 or +1(800)267-0010 and quote "University of Toronto ORAHS 2008 Conference" to receive the special rate.

Overseas guests can also make reservations via email by contacting Ms. Linda Andrews, IC Group Reservations Coordinator, at with name, arrival and departure dates, and again by quoting "University of Toronto ORAHS 2008 Conference" for the special rate. Please be advised that this special rate is NOT available through the web booking system.

St. Michael’s College Residence

Number and types of rooms: 45 single occupancy rooms in the Sorbara Hall Residence

Rate: CAD 37.20 per room per night

Block Dates: 15 of the 45 rooms are booked for Wednesday, July 23rd check-in, and the rest are booked for Sunday July 27th check-in. Check-out is Friday August 1st for all rooms.

Offer Expiry: Monday, June 30, 2008

Booking Information: Participants are asked to book their rooms through St. Michael’s College Summer Housing Office at http://www.utoronto.ca/stmikes/sumres/reserve_online_form.html and quote “The ORAHS Conference” to receive the special offer. Each guest will be asked for CAD 100.00 deposit when they book their room.
