Call for Papers at the 2008 ORAHS Conference

ORAHS 34 marks the first time that European Working Group on Operational Research as Applied to Health Services has met in North America. ORAHS 34 therefore represents a unique opportunity to establish links between North Americans and Europeans interested in the design, delivery, and evaluation of health service systems. The Canadian health care system shares many similarities to those in European countries and thus ORAHS 34 will be of special interest to Canadian researchers and practitioners.

We welcome all papers within the broad theme of operational research approaches applied to any aspect of health care design, delivery, or evaluation. In keeping with the theme of the meeting, papers that provide international comparisons of health care systems, new insight into common issues, or those that discuss international health care planning and development are particularly encouraged.

The deadline for submission is June 27, 2008. Abstracts should be sent in an MS-Word or PDF format file. All abstracts will be published in the conference program.

Publication: Full length submissions will be published in the conference proceedings. Deadline for submission of full submissions is September 26, 2008. We anticipate that the proceedings will be available in early 2009.
